Mobile Users Concerned About Targeted Ads
Surprise, 90% of consumers report that they find targeted mobile ads to be annoying, although 13% also found them useful in addition to being annoying. In Ogury’s survey 52% say that annoying or irrelevant ads give them a poor impression of the website or app that hosts them. So, that seems to say that 43% of consumers don’t have a negative impression of ads even though they find them annoying – and does a poor impression translate into brand damage, or is advertising just such an accepted fact of life that it’s shrugged off?
